Out of a larger list of 1,574 names, 574 are selected for further consideration. From November 24 to 25, all of these players will be put through their paces in Jeddah. There are 318 uncapped Indians, 12 uncapped foreign players, and 208 foreign players overall. Each of the ten teams is preparing to assemble their teams from the ground up.
Cricket players are preparing for the Indian Premier League 2025 auction, which is set for November 24–25, with less than a week to go before the greatest match in sports history. The youngest cricketer, 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryanvanshi of Bihar, is vying for a position in one of the teams, while the oldest, 43-year-old MS Dhoni, is prepared to take the field.
Youngest Cricketers in IPL 2025 Mega Auction:
1. Vaibhav Suryavanshi (India) – 13 years:
Vaibhav is the youngest player on the list, having been born in Bihar on March 27, 2011. At the age of 12 years and 284 days, he made his Bihar first-class debut in January 2024.
2. Ayush Mhatre (India) - 17 years:
Last month, Mhatre, an opening batsman, received an unexpected call-up to Mumbai's Irani Trophy team. In the Ranji Trophy, Mhatre has been in outstanding form. He scored 52 in his first innings and then 176 against Maharashtra. He demonstrated his ability as an IPL star during his trials with CSK.
3. Andre Siddarth (India) – 18 years:
Siddarth has been in the news lately. He is the nephew of former Tamil Nadu batter and selector S Sharath. This year, he participated in the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament and played for the Chepauk Super Gillies in the Tamil Nadu Premier League.
4. Kwena Maphaka (South Africa) – 18 years:
Kwena Maphaka, the youngest foreign player on the list, is a South African U19 pace wonder who took 21 wickets in this year's U19 World Cup. After making two appearances and giving up 89 runs in six overs last year, he was able to sign an IPL deal with the Mumbai Indians.
5. Allah Ghazafnar (Afghanistan) – 18 years:
The enigmatic spinner has drawn notice for his outstanding ODI and Emerging Asia Cup performances. He is an emerging star with 12 wickets in 8 games, including a best of 6/26.
