On April 3, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) handily at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Through KKR CEO Venky Mysore, franchise co-owner Shah Rukh Khan delivered a special message to all of the team's best performers following the incredible victory.
On social media, the franchise posted a video of Mysore reading the statement in Shah Rukh Khan's accent. As Angkrish Raghuvanshi made a heart motion with his hands and displayed it to the camera, the players were having a great time. Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer were beaming the entire time.

With brilliant blows from Venkatesh Iyer (60 off 29 balls), Angkrish Raghuvanshi (50 off 32), skipper Ajinkya Rahane (38), and Rinku Singh (32), KKR, the reigning champions, advanced to a commanding 200 for six against SRH. With pacer Vaibhav Arora and spinners Varun Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine leading the charge, the bowlers then completed the deal, limiting SRH to just 120 runs. The victory cemented KKR's standing as a formidable team in the current campaign.
Shah Rukh's message in the video said, "Wow! I guess the secret to gameplay like this is that I should come on the screen during team meetings before the match. Played like the champions we are. Awesome, everyone. Well done, Angkrish, you were sublime. Ajinkya was fantastic – captain’s innings and great strategy! And Venkatesh, don’t think too far ahead, so just the time on the crease. That's where you belong. Fantastic. And Rinku, so happy to see you smile. You’re a champ!"
Shah Rukh, an ardent supporter of KKR since the franchise’s inception in 2008, has been a continual source of motivation for the team. The actor is renowned for closely monitoring the Knights' performances despite his hectic schedule and frequently offers his opinions with the team. His statement on Thursday night demonstrated his strong bond with the squad and its supporters and was the ideal balance of humor and support.
