At the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, during Match 69 of the current Indian Premier League between the Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians, Nehal Wadhera held onto a fantastic grab to dismiss Rohit Sharma. Rohit scored 24 from 21 deliveries and had to walk back.
Rohit Sharma took a step back, allowing himself to fall to the ground. Rather, the ball was struck off the underside of his blade and headed in the direction of long-on. The former MI star bowed forward and rushed in from the barrier to make a fantastic diving catch. MI lost their second wicket to Rohit.

After winning the toss, Punjab Kings limited MI to 184 thanks to Shreyas Iyer's decision to bowl first. The consistent loss of wickets, including one of Rohit Sharma's, was crucial in holding MI in check. Wadhera's outstanding catch at long on off Harpreet Brar's bowling ended his knock after he was dismissed for 24 in the tenth over.
The PBKS, led by Shreyas Iyer, won the toss earlier in the evening and decided to field first. Vijaykumar Vyshak and Kyle Jamieson entered the starting lineup. They only made one modification to MI. Ashwani Kumar, a left-arm seamer, returned to the team.
The victor of this specific match has the chance to qualify for Qualifier 1 and earn a top-two position. Before the match, MI and PBKS were ranked fourth and second, respectively. The gap between the two teams is just one point, while MI, in fourth position, has a higher net run rate (+1.292) than PBKS (+0.327).
Rohit Sharma was set and desperate to get out, so it was a huge, huge wicket for the Punjab Kings. Rohit was attempting to hit it down, and it was a beautiful full delivery. Nehal Wadhera rushed forward with tremendous intensity and made a wonderful diving catch after Rohit mistimed his shot, due in large part to Harpreet Brar's loop and flight. Despite wickets coming at the other end, Suryakumar Yadav kept MI going and shattered Sachin's record of the most runs scored by a MI batter in a single IPL season, which had stood for 15 years.
