Quinton de Kock, a South African batsman and wicketkeeper, is scheduled to return to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) team in Bengaluru on Thursday, May 15. On Saturday, May 17, at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the reigning champions will play the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in a match that must be won. The remaining IPL 2025 games will take place at six different locations between May 17 and June 3.
The defending IPL champions, the Kolkata Knight Riders, are still in the running for the playoffs despite their inconsistent 2025 campaign. However, they must win every game, and the match against RCB on May 17 must be the first. The comeback of international stars has been questioned since the IPL was suspended for a week. Only Jake Fraser-McGurk and Jamie Overton have confirmed their unavailability thus far, but the other players are still able to go.

Due to cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan, the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will restart after a one-week break. KKR players have begun to arrive at the camp while all teams wait for confirmation of their overseas players' return. The three-time champions are awaiting word from off-spinner Moeen Ali over his return, while Australian bowler Spencer Johnson has stated that he is available for the final leg of the event. According to ESPNcricinfo, the first group of international players to arrive in Bengaluru on Wednesday afternoon includes Andre Russell and Sunil Narine.
The players from KKR's Indian contingent will begin arriving in groups on Wednesday night. On Thursday and Friday night, they will train at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium before playing the home club, RCB.
With five victories, the Ajinkya Rahane-led team is currently sixth in the standings and has little chance of qualifying for the playoffs. To improve their prospects of earning a postseason berth, they must win their remaining games against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and RCB.
