Piyush Chawla, a former Indian cricket player, gives the Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians (MI) high marks for their spectacular return in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025). The Mumbai-based team has won consecutive games and is currently in third place on the points table after dropping their first four IPL games. They have never returned to the IPL with such vigour before.

The five-time champions started a winning streak after defeating the Delhi Capitals (DC) by 12 runs, after winning just one of their opening five games. Chawla recently offered her thoughts on Mumbai's incredible run, complimenting them on their resounding wins. The former leg-spinner emphasised how the team is coming together at the perfect moment and how Rohit Sharma is also getting back to his best.

Piyush Chawla Gets Candid:

On Jiostar Chawla said, They are on a roll at the moment. The kind of cricket they are playing, all the games they’ve won recently have been convincing victories. They haven’t really had to struggle. The bowlers are doing their job, the batters are doing wonders with the bat, and the middle order isn’t even getting a chance to bat. That’s a great sign for any team. This is why we always say Mumbai Indians is a team that knows how to make a comeback and take the lead."

He added, “Earlier, there were concerns about Rohit Sharma not scoring runs, but in the last two games, he has stepped up. Hardik Pandya is in great form, both with the bat and ball, which gives him a lot of confidence, and that reflects in his captaincy as well."

After six games, Rohit was able to regain his form, scoring consecutive half-centuries against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He helped his team easily win run chases both times by scoring an undefeated 76* (45) against CSK and 70 (46) against SRH. His play has therefore been essential to MI's recovery, and he is excited to keep it up when they play the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 27.
