At the opening ceremony of the 18th Indian Premier League on Saturday, March 22, Virat Kohli, the captain of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and an Ace Indian, grooved to the viral song Jhoome Jo Pathaan from the Bollywood blockbuster Pathaan with the film's lead actor and the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Their incredible dance to the hit song "Jhoome Jo Pathan" was the night's high point and immediately went viral on social media. As soon as the video of the pair moving to the music became viral, fans worldwide expressed their gratitude. Ahead of the IPL 2025 tournament start between KKR and RCB, respectively, the two titans of their respective industries got together and gave it their all at the event in Kolkata.

Virat Kohli and Shah Rukh Khan Lit the Stage:

After swaying to the song for a few seconds, the two also embraced each other. The flamboyant batter Rinku Singh of the Kolkata Knight Riders contributed to the entertainment prior to the standout performance by Shah Rukh and Virat Kohli. The audience was in awe as he performed his dance skills on the upbeat song "Lutt Putt Gaya." Rinku's zeal and vigour complemented the festive mood flawlessly, adding to the evening's significance for KKR fans.

To begin IPL 2025, KKR and RCB are slated to play each other at the former's home ground. This is the second time the two teams have faced off in an IPL opener; the first was in the 2008 inaugural edition of the prestigious T20 event, which was completely trounced by the SRK-owned team by an overwhelming 140 runs at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Rajat Patidar and Ajinkya Rahane are leading the two sides. Rahane and Patidar will be leading KKR and RCB, respectively, for the first time. Although Patidar has played for RCB for three seasons, Rahane, who was let go following the 2022 season, will be playing for the second time.
