In Match 67 of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025), which will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Ravichandran Ashwin is not included in the starting lineup. To finish at the top of the points table, GT, who have already qualified for the playoffs, will try to win in front of their home crowd. However, CSK is now at the bottom of the table after being eliminated from the competition. They want to finish their campaign with a bang.

CSK captain MS Dhoni affirmed the choice at the toss. He said, “We have one change. Hooda is back for Ashwin. After opting to bat first. Dhoni explained that the pitch looked hard and dry, ideal for batting. CSK are already out of the playoff race. Dhoni admitted the result wouldn’t change their standing. We are last in the table. We will remain last, win or lose. Need to enjoy our cricket."

Ravichandran Ashwin as Impact Players:

Ashwin is on CSK's Impact Players list even though he isn't in the starting lineup. He might therefore still play if necessary. But before their season ends, the squad appears to be putting younger players to the test. Ashwin's IPL 2025 campaign hasn't been too successful. Because of his subpar results, CSK might be thinking about their future pairings. This action would suggest that CSK is concentrating on preparing for the upcoming season. The club is giving others chances because they are not under any playoff pressure. Senior figure Ashwin might be taking a break or leaving CSK's plans.
