After suffering a thumb injury during a Saturday training session, Litton Das, the wicketkeeper-batter for the Karachi Kings and Bangladesh, has been ruled out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) season, the team announced. Karachi supporters excitedly anticipated the silver category signing, but his campaign was cut short before it had started due to an awful blow sustained during practice.

The Bangladeshi keeper, who was probably going to play in the top order, had been signed by the Karachi Kings. Das disclosed that the injury occurred while he was practicing with the team. It was described as a hairline fracture in the medical papers. Das concluded the tweet by wishing the Kings luck before the competition and stating that he was returning to Bangladesh by plane.

Litton Das Injury Woes:

Ben McDermott, an Australian batsman and wicketkeeper, has been chosen as the team's official replacement for Litton. Even though McDermott has a lot of T20 experience, this will be his first PSL debut. Earlier this year, McDermott was a member of the Hobart Hurricanes' historic Big Bash League (BBL) winning team. He played a crucial role with the bat, including a crucial cameo in the final, and maintained a strike rate of around 145.

Posting on Facebook, Das said, “Hope you all are well. I was truly excited to play in the PSL for the Karachi Kings, but the Almighty had other plans. During a practice session, I picked up a finger injury. Scans revealed a hairline fracture, and recovery will take at least 2 weeks. So, sadly, my PSL mission is over before it even began. I’m flying back to Bangladesh and seeking your prayers & love for a quick recovery. Wishing the very best of luck to my team, Karachi Kings."

He had missed more than a year of national and franchise play due to the injury, which was allegedly mistreated throughout his recuperation. On Saturday, Ihsanullah will wear the Zalmi jersey in their opening matchup with the Quetta Gladiators.
