The Women’s Premier League (WPL 2027) mini auction was held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt in Kochi, Kerala, beginning at 5:30 p.m. IST (local time). Altogether, 146 players made the shortlist for 27 available slots, seven of which are reserved for overseas cricketers.
Delhi Capitals had their squad sorted before the WPL auction and only bought four players: Kiran Navgire, Nazma Khan, Kirstie Gordon, and Uma Kashvi. Madiwala Mamatha is likely to play all the games and keep wickets, as Delhi didn’t buy any wicketkeeper in the WPL 2027 auction. She missed the WPL 2026 due to an injury. Shree Charani and Nandani Sharma will complete the playing XI. The world No. 1 WT20I bowler Shree Charani has 18 wickets for DC in 12 games in WPL, while Nandani took an impressive 17 wickets in her debut WPL season in 2026.
