Shreyanka Patil Likely to Miss WPL 2025 - 3 Players RCB Might Pick as Perfect Replacement

One of the most gifted young cricket players to emerge from the Women's Premier League (WPL 2025) is Shreyanka Patil. But the bowling all-rounder is virtually guaranteed to miss the third season of the competition.

Patil will miss the entire WPL 2025 season, a devastating setback for the reigning champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). This can be attributed to the child's recent injury. With the ball, Shreyanka has been RCB's backbone in the WPL, taking 19 wickets in 15 appearances, with a strike rate of 12.94 and an average of 18.36. As they prepare to defend their title in the WPL 2025, her sudden injury becomes a major worry for them.

3. Sundaresan Anusha:

Given her potential for success in the WPL with both bat and ball, Sundaresan Anusha would be a worthwhile selection. Her all-around skill set can provide RCB's bowling and batting units depth, and her base price was INR 10 lakhs. 

2. Poonam Yadav:

After failing to take a single wicket in three WPL appearances, veteran Indian spinner Poonam Yadav, whose base price was INR 30 lakhs, was not sold at auction.

Despite having a base price of INR 30 lakhs, seasoned Indian all-rounder Sneh Rana failed to sell at the WPL auction. It's likely that Rana's poor WPL statistics kept the teams from making an investment in her. 

For those who are unaware, Shreyanka won the Purple Cap for RCB in the previous tournament and played a crucial role. In the final match against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, she also claimed four wickets. Prior to the WPL season, Patil was also battling a similar injury. It's yet another serious issue that might make RCB's title defence more difficult.
