Big News: CPL Finals 2025 and 2026 Hosts Finally Announced!

The CPL fans have gotten a treat from the league as they took it to their official social media handles to announce the final hosts of seasons 2025 and 2026.

Guyana will host the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) finals in 2025, followed by Barbados in 2026. The CPL has agreed to a one-year contract that would see the finals take place in Guyana in 2025. For the first time ever, the finals in 2026 will take place in Barbados at the renowned Kensington Oval.

The Honorable President Mohammed Irfan Ali of Guyana stated, "I want to take this opportunity to wish Guyana Amazon Warriors all success on behalf of all Guyanese as we try to make it two in a row. As we compete as a team, we send our best wishes to all the other teams. I am also thrilled to announce that the CPL 2025 finals will be hosted in Guyana."

CPL 2025 and 2026 ready for action:

Barbados' prime minister, the honourable Mia Mottley, declared: "I'm delighted to announce that the 2026 CPL finals will take place in Bridgetown at Kensington Oval. As you prepare for the long march to Bridgetown let’s hope my own team, Barbados Royals, can take it to the finals this year. If not, we'll catch up with you the following year, and we'll definitely hook up in Bridgetown in 2026."

 

 

Pete Russell, CEO of the Caribbean Premier League said, "Guyana and Barbados have been amazing partners for CPL over the last 12 years, and it is really exciting to be able to announce that they will be hosts for the finals in 2025 and 2026, respectively. We express our gratitude to the governments of Guyana and Barbados for their gracious consent to host the CPL final."

In the meantime, the reigning champion Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated the Barbados Royals by eight wickets in Providence on October 5 to secure their place in the CPL 2024 championship. Watch this space for more cricket news.
