WATCH: Kieron's El Dorado Celebration Steals the Show in CPL 2024

Captain Kieron Pollard of the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) gave an El Dorado celebration during the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 after four wickets haul on September 24 at Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad versus the St Lucia Kings.

In the last over of St Lucia's innings, Pollard claimed his fourth victim, which prompted the reply. In that encounter, the medium pacer got rid of Faf du Plessis, David Weise, Roston Chase, and Sedrack Descarte. 

In his four overs, he recorded striking figures of 4 for 38. El Dorado, for those who are unaware, is a gunpoint gesture that has gained popularity again after Turkish Olympian shooting Yusuf Dikec won a silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics. The official Instagram account of CPL shared the following caption along with a video: "Pollard, the sharpshooter.”

In the CPL match, the St Lucia Kings defeated Trinbago Knight Riders by an inning, despite Kieron Pollard's valiant efforts with the ball. The Saint Lucia Kings, who requested to bat first, scored 218/6 in the 20 overs allotted to them.

Johnson Charles scored 89 runs from 40 balls in his opening batting innings, including eight sixes and seven fours. Tim Seifert contributed 30 (17) to Faf du Plessis's creditable 59 (43), and the chase was successful. Jayden Seales and Chris Jordan each had one wicket, aside from Pollard.

After Dwayne Bravo was forced to retire injured in the 18th over, the Tribago Knight Riders were bowled out for 138 in response. With 41 runs (29 balls, 2 sixes, 3 boundaries), Jason Roy was the highest scorer. Chris Jordan also displayed some grit with a score of 27 off 27 balls. Refusing to get off the plane was the other batter.

David Weise scored a double, although Noor Ahmad was the best bowler with a 3/39 average. Sadrack Descarte, Roston Chase, Alzarri Joseph, and Khary Pierre all claimed wickets. With the victory, the St Lucia Kings extended their advantage over the Knight Riders in the CPL 2024 points standings to two points, while the former stayed in fourth place after winning five of their previous eight games.
