Fans of former cricket player Suresh Raina have frequently praised him for his off-field performances in addition to his on-field antics. He just bought a restaurant in Amsterdam and is frequently spotted watching games from the commentary box, particularly when the Indian Premier League is in play. In the most recent development, it has been confirmed that Raina will soon make his acting debut in a Tamil movie.

On their official social media page, Dream Knight Studios (DKS), the production company behind Raina's movie debut, posted a video of the news. The start of Raina's new innings is marked by his appearance on the cricket stadium field dressed for a non-match. The cricket player from Uttar Pradesh talked about his motivation for launching with a Tamil movie, citing his extensive time spent in Tamil Nadu while playing for the Chennai Super Kings. 'Chinna Thala' is another affectionate term used by the devoted CSK supporters to refer to him.

The production company's name and logo were formally revealed by cricketer Shivam Dube, who is a pinch hitter for the Chennai Super Kings. Suresh Raina participated in the event via video call while on vacation with his family in Amsterdam. Raina stated that although he had been notified somewhat late, he was unable to attend the event, even though he still wanted to.

During the announcement, Raina said, "I think DKS has a good director, and when the story was narrated to me, it felt very close to our journey. Being a cricket-based movie, it had to start from Tamil Nadu because I’ve played many matches here for CSK, and the people have always shown immense love."

He went on to explain how his desire to pursue acting will enable him to carve out a career outside of cricket while embodying the laid-back and endearing personality he possesses. With a guitar in his hands rather than a cricket bat, the Southpaw thinks he will become a very fine musician. He claims to be a laid-back guy who also likes to prepare South Indian specialities like rasam, rice and dosa for his teammates.

Speaking about the 38-year-old's IPL dominance, even though he played his final match in the 2021 season, he is still one of the league's highest run scorers. In addition, he was the league's first batter to reach the 5000-run milestone. As a member of the team that won four IPL titles, he has gained popularity among fans thanks to his affiliation with the CSK club.
