The third Test match between Australia and India will begin on December 14 at Gabba. With the series tied at one, the victor of this match can gain a significant advantage before the Test Day match in Melbourne. Notably, both teams are vying for a spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) final, and a defeat could result in their elimination from the competition.
After India crushed them by 295 runs in the first Test match in Perth, Australia produced a spectacular comeback by winning the second Test by 10 wickets in Adelaide. The series is therefore well-positioned for the third game, in which one of the two sides is likely to gain the upper hand and establish a commanding lead in the rubber. Nevertheless, there are ominous clouds hanging over the forthcoming match because rain is probably going to disrupt it.
Brisbane weather report update:
For the third Test, the pitch curators are also getting a green deck ready. They said it would have a good deal of "pace and carry" and be "fresh." The pitch is still new because the Australian summer has just begun and only a few Shield and Women's Big Bash League games have been played there. India's hopes of winning the series could be ruined by the high likelihood of rain during the third Test, according to weather.com. On the first day of the test, there is a 25% probability of precipitation, which increases to 40% in the afternoon. Additionally, there is a 25% probability of rain on Day 2, and this is anticipated to hold true on Day 3.
Brisbane Test weather update: Rain forecast on all five days

The forecast is for partly cloudy skies with medium chances of showers throughout the match, with maximum temperature between 30 and 32. The good part about the forecast as of now is that no heavy rain or thunderstorms… pic.twitter.com/ehRS9zP8yn
Australia will begin as the favourites on their home field, particularly after winning the second Test at Adelaide by ten wickets. But since January 2021, the Pat Cummins-led team has failed to defeat India in a red-ball Test match played at home. They lost two of their three games, including the well-known one at Gabba nearly three years ago.
