Ace bowler Jasprit Bumrah's bowling performance during the second Test of the current Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024–25 has drawn criticism from former national selector Jatin Paranjape. Although the Indian bowling squad missed the trick entirely with the pink ball, Paranjape believed that the Adelaide Oval's pitch had a lot to offer the bowlers.

On the first two days of the encounter at Adelaide Oval, the Australian bowlers maintained deliveries that were significantly fuller than the Indian bowling attack. This gave them the advantage and allowed them to win by 10 wickets, tying the five-match series at one.

After Australia absolutely destroyed the visiting team with a 10-wicket victory to tie the series 1-1, he criticized India for their poor performance. In a recent interview, Paranjape was asked what he thought of Bumrah's performance during the Day/Night Adelaide Test. He evaluated and highlighted the variations between India's bowling in Adelaide and Perth.

Jatin Paranjape criticises Jasprit Bumrah:

Former Indian cricket player and national selector Jatin Paranjape claims that India lost the game because they did not bowl fuller deliveries like Australia did. Paranjape to IANS in an exclusive conversation, "I thought we didn’t bowl as well as we did in Perth. I thought the Australians kind of bowled much better than what the Indian team bowled. I thought Bumrah also was a little bit off-colour. I don’t think they pitched the ball as far up to the batters as they should have. So this is the big reason why Australia went on to get a 150-run lead. The wicket in Adelaide helped the bowlers a lot, and not bowling well there was like a big miss for India."

In relation to the third Test, the highly anticipated match is set to take place at Brisbane's famous Gabba, which has served as a stronghold for the Australians. The Indians' historic victory here during the 2020–21 tour gave them a taste of triumph on the field. The forthcoming encounter is scheduled to begin on December 14 and last for five days.
