Pacer Mohammed Siraj of the Indian cricket team and batsman Travis Head of Australia are anticipated to face consequences for their altercation on Day 2 of the second Test match at the Adelaide Oval. After dismissing the Australia star, Siraj was spotted saying goodbye to Head; however, some remarks were made between the two on the field.
The cricket community responded to Head and Siraj's rather contradictory revelations about the conversation's subject matter. Both sides have their own versions of events, but according to a source, Siraj and Head will face consequences from the International Cricket Council (ICC) for their actions.
Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head in trouble:
After Siraj was found to have violated article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which deals with "using language, actions, or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon dismissal," the ICC announced a 20% fine on his match fee on Monday. A violation of Article 2.13 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which deals with the "abuse of a player, player support personnel, umpire or match referee during an international match," led to the Head's suspension as well.
Due to their first offence within the previous 24 months, the two players each received one demerit point on their disciplinary records. Both athletes acknowledged their transgressions and agreed to the penalties that Match Referee Ranjan Madugalle suggested.
The Adelaide crowd expressed their annoyance and loudly jeered the Hyderabad-born speedster for his actions during the second Test. The third Test, which starts on Saturday, December 14, will pit the two world cricket teams against one another at Brisbane's famous Gabba.
