West Indies players Jayden Seales and Kevin Sinclair were fined heavily by the ICC for their needless animosity toward Bangladeshi players during the second test. The two-game series was tied 1-1 after Bangladesh won the second Test by 101 runs. After it was determined that Seales had violated item 2.20 of the ICC Code of Behaviour for Players and Player Support Personnel, which deals with "conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game," he was penalized 25% of his match fee.
The second Test match between Bangladesh and the West Indies took place at Sabina Park in Jamaica. The visitors recovered with 268 in the third inning after collapsing on 164 in the first. In contrast, West Indies lost by 101 runs after scoring just 146 and 185 in two innings. However, following the loss, West Indies' problems only got worse when the ICC penalized Jayden Seales and Kevin Sinclair for violating the players' code of conduct.

After it was determined that Sinclair had violated Article 2.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which deals with "Disobeying an Umpire's instruction during an International Match," he was fined 15% of his match fee. Sinclair's disciplinary record now has one demerit point added to it in addition to the punishment, since it was his first offence in 24 months. The incident happened when Sinclair disregarded the on-field umpires' orders to refrain from using abusive and hostile language toward the Bangladeshi batters.
In the second Test at Jamaica, Bangladesh defeated the West Indies by an unprecedented 101 runs, tying the two-game series at one. Bangladesh had not won a Test match in the West Indies since 2009. Despite their heartfelt play, the victory had little impact on the WTC table because both teams were still in the lowest divisions. With four victories in 12 games and a 31.25% win percentage, Bangladesh is now ranked eighth. With two victories from 11 games and a 24.24% win percentage, the West Indies are still in last place.
