With one game remaining, Australia defeated India in the ODI series after chasing down a target of 252 in just 36.1 overs in the second ODI. Phoebe Litchfield hammered 80 off 62, and Georgia Voll crushed 101 off 82 balls to lead Australia to a win. India had earlier scored 251/9 in 50 overs thanks to half-centuries from captain Harmanpreet Kaur (54 off 70) and Pratika Rawal (52 off 81). Additionally impressive was Kashvee Gautam, who took two wickets with the ball and hammered 25 with the bat. Alyssa Healy, the captain of Australia, will win her final ODI series thanks to the victory.

The Indian team chose to bat first at the outset of the game and had a respectable start as well. But star batsman Smriti Mandhana gave the Australians their first breakthrough when Ashleigh Gardner struck in the 17th over. Shortly later, Jemimah Rodrigues, an in-form batswoman, also died after edging one to Alyssa Healy off a delivery from Annabel Sutherland. The best bowlers were Alana King and Sutherland, who each claimed two wickets.

Australia Women vs India Women 2nd ODI Match Highlights:

Sutherland maintained the hosts in firm control of the reigning world champions by first dismissing Jemimah and then dismissing Kranti Goud for 19 off 15. In Hobart, the right-arm pacer also controlled the tempo of runs, giving up just 37 after seven overs. Her controlled line and lengths, along with her tight bowling, prevented the Indians from finding runs on a wicket that should have greatly aided the batters.

Georgia Voll was rightfully named Player of the Match for her exceptional batting effort, even though she arrived at the crease earlier than anticipated. This was also her first century for Australia in One-Day Internationals, and it amply demonstrated why she is currently one of the team's most promising hitters.
