In Wednesday's third and final ODI against Ireland, Pratika Rawal, the opener for the Indian women's cricket team, enthralled Rajkot with a brilliant century. Pratika struck 154 off 129 balls, including 20 boundaries and one maximum, to start the innings in her sixth ODI and smash her first international century. In addition, she became the first player in historyโmale or femaleโto reach 400 runs or more in their first six innings of play.ย
Rawal has amassed 444 runs at an outstanding average of 74 in the six ODIs in which she has played. Shafali Verma's dropping had been an issue, therefore the Indian ladies were searching for a new opener. Pratika seized the chance and produced some game-winning knocks in just six games. With Smriti Mandhana (135), the stand-in skipper, scoring her 10th ODI century off just 70 deliveries, Pratika added 233 runs for the opening stand. India achieved their highest-ever 50-over total of 435 for five because of the two players' performances.ย
