Australian pacer Henry Thornton was taken to the hospital during the ongoing India A vs. Australia A series in Kanpur after he may have had food poisoning. The Australia A team's 27-year-old fast bowler had to be admitted to a private hospital after suffering a serious stomach ailment.

Thornton was sent to the Regency Hospital in Kanpur after allegedly complaining of a serious stomach infection. After consuming food at the team hotel, the fast bowler experienced gastrointestinal problems, according to team sources. Initially under the supervision of the local team management, he was eventually admitted to the hospital and treated by senior physicians.

Australia A Pacer Henry Thornton in Hospital:

Before coming to Kanpur, Thornton had been suffering from mild stomach pain, team officials said. However, after eating at the team hotel, his condition drastically deteriorated. He was sent to Regency Hospital as his symptoms worsened, where medical professionals determined that he had a stomach illness and placed him under observation for two days.

Fortunately, Thornton has made a full recovery and has been released. He is anticipated to be available for the rest of the tour after rejoining his colleagues. The entire team's nutrition has been tightened by the Australian camp. Three other athletes reported experiencing mild gastrointestinal issues, but none of them needed to be hospitalised, according to a Hindustan Times report.

At 48 runs for no loss in 5.5 overs, the Australians entered the rain break. Even after Jake-Fraser McGurk (36 off 20 balls) was dismissed after providing a blistering start, McKenzie Harvey (70 not out off 49 balls) and Cooper Connolly (50 off 31 balls) did the necessary without much trouble after they came out after the break. 16.4 overs were needed to finish the chase. The series is presently 1-1 after three games, and Sunday will be the decisive encounter. Pacer Arshdeep Singh was hammered for 44 in four overs as Indian bowlers were blasted for 22 fours and six sixes throughout the chase.
