In recognition of Team India's victory at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has offered a cash reward of INR 58 crore. The athletes, coaching and support staff, and Men's Selection Committee members are honoured with this financial accolade.
The Rohit Sharma-led team had an exceptional season because they won the summit match against New Zealand with ease and didn't lose a single match. The monetary award will "cover the players, coaching and support staff and members of the men's selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar," the official statement stated.
Champions Trophy 2025 Award Money:
After a strong six-wicket victory over Bangladesh to start the season, the team easily defeated Pakistan by six wickets. In the semi-final, they defeated Australia by four wickets after maintaining their momentum with a 44-run victory against New Zealand. With a victory of four wickets in the top match against New Zealand, they secured the title.
Roger Binny, President, BCCI said, "Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special and this reward recognises Team India's dedication and excellence on the global stage. The cash award is a recognition of the hard work that everyone puts in behind the scenes. This was also our second ICC Trophy in 2025, following the ICC U19 Women's World Cup triumph, and it highlights the strong cricketing ecosystem in place in our country.”
It further said, "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is delighted to announce a cash reward of INR 58 Crore for Team India following their triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This financial recognition honours the players, coaching and support staff and members of the Men's Selection Committee."
