Bumrah is Back: Jasprit Bumrah Regains No. 1 Spot in ICC Test Rankings

The Test bowling rankings have changed significantly as a result of India's victory over Bangladesh in the two-game Test series. Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has supplanted Ravichandran Ashwin as the world's best Test bowler, thanks to his outstanding exploits. With 870 points at the moment, Bumrah leads Ashwin, who now has 869 points. Thanks to his eleven wickets in the Bangladesh series, Bumrah has risen to the top of the Test bowling rankings for the second time. 

With players like Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Jasprit Bumrah lighting up the ICC Test rankings, the Indian cricket team has made enormous progress. After India's dominant 2-0 sweep of Bangladesh, Bumrah has emerged as the No. 1 bowler, Kohli has entered the top 10 and Jaiswal won his career-best place in the ICC Test rankings for hitters.

It is noteworthy that Ashwin, who claimed five wickets in the Kanpur Test, was also at his best during the series. Shakib Al Hasan, on the other side, has moved up five places to take 28th place, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz of Bangladesh has advanced four spaces to take 18th place.

In addition, Prabath Jayasuriya of Sri Lanka is currently ranked seventh following his recent exploits against New Zealand. India, captained by Rohit Sharma, will look to maintain its top spot in the WTC standings by putting on a strong performance against New Zealand in the upcoming Test match.

Jadeja, on the other hand, became the third Indian, after Ashwin and Kapil Dev, to reach the remarkable feat of 300 Test wickets and 3000 runs. Though he was unable to accomplish much with the bat, he made a vital 3/34 on Day 5, which led to Bangladesh's batting collapse.
