The Indian squad has already begun preparations in Dubai for the highly anticipated Champions Trophy, which is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, February 19. On February 20, the Men in Blue will begin their campaign against Bangladesh. The roster will include some well-known players, and the fans are eager to see them compete in the forthcoming event, so they have high expectations.

In preparation for their Champions Trophy opener against Bangladesh, the Indian squad held their second practice at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Monday. Rishabh Pant appeared uncomfortable on Monday when he skipped his wicketkeeping exercise, despite having healed from the bizarre injury during the first training session on Sunday, making him safe for the ICC event.

Rishabh Pant's Injury Scare in Champions Trophy 2025:

Jasprit Bumrah's exclusion from the squad following a back injury sustained during the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has already dealt a serious blow to the Indian team soon before the event. Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batsman, was hit in the knee during the practice session, but there were more unwelcome moments. Even though it was reported to be a minor injury, the 27-year-old star's future is uncertain based on recent rumours.

On Sunday, Hardik Pandya used his big-hitting technique against spinners in the net session. One of those strong blows hit Pant in the knee. While the all-rounder walked out to check on Pant, Kamlesh Jain, the team physiotherapist, went to him right away.

But once the first round of hitters finished their workout, Pant quickly padded up, so it didn't prove to be a major problem. However, during India's second net session in Dubai on Monday, Pant seemed to falter and hobble a little, according to a PTI report. He appeared rusty when he came to bat, missing and edging multiple deliveries. He also skipped the wicketkeeping and fielding drills. The young star's prospects are not good, especially in light of the next competition.

Additionally, there were times when KL Rahul was practising some huge shots since he might play at number five or six and would be attempting to transition from his well-known technical anchor role to the finisher role, which would need a much faster-paced game.
