India's bowling coach, Morne Morkel, has left the team's training camp to head home in preparation for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. Morne Morkel had to return home from Dubai a few days before the ICC Champions Trophy began because his father had passed away.
On February 15, Morkel and the other Indian squad members arrived in Dubai, where they participated in numerous training sessions. However, the bowling coach did not participate in Monday's team practice. The unexpected occurrence later led to reports that the former Proteas fast bowler was getting ready to go home.
According to Dainik Jagran, Morkel went back home after his father had passed away. Morkel's return date is still not confirmed, and his absence will undoubtedly hurt Team India's chances of taking home the Champions Trophy. On February 20, India will play their first match in the ICC Champions Trophy against Bangladesh.

On Sunday, February 23, the eagerly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match will take place in Dubai. The other squad in Group A, New Zealand, will play Rohit Sharma and company on March 2. Meanwhile, Group B includes Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia. On February 21, Afghanistan and South Africa will face off in Karachi. Australia and England, longtime rivals, will face off in Lahore the next day.
The tournament's reigning champions are Pakistan. They defeated India in the competition's 2017 finals at The Oval to win the previous iteration. The Champions Trophy will be held for the ninth time. The start of the eight-team extravaganza has fans eagerly anticipating it.
