The third player from the England women's cricket team to get a hat-trick in women's ODI cricket is spinner Charlie Dean. The off-spinner contributed significantly to the dismissal of South Africa's women's hitters, joining the select group of players who have accomplished this feat in their remarkable careers, including Andrew Flintoff and James Anderson.

After losing the toss and having to bat first, South Africa found it difficult to gain traction and was bowled out for 135 runs in just 31.3 overs. The one bright point in their innings was Chloe Tryon, who scored an aggressive 45 off 49 balls with eight boundaries. Despite Laura Wolvaardt's contribution of 35 runs off 50 deliveries, the remainder of the squad was ineffective.

Charlie Dean stuns the fans:

The bowlers from England, particularly Dean and Sophie Ecclestone, were too hot to handle. Ecclestone matched her with 3 for 27 in 7.3 overs, while Dean scored an impressive 4 for 45 in her allotted 10 overs, including a hat-trick. With three wickets of her own, Lauren Filer further complicated matters for the South African hitters.

The England women's ODI vs South Africa women culminated in a notable victory for the visitors, who easily prevailed despite chasing a low score of 136. As the series decider, this proved to be the ideal method of leveling the ODI series in preparation for the forthcoming match in Potchefstroom. As a result, against a determined South African team, the Heather Knight-led team staged a spectacular comeback and maintained their chances.

Speaking of the result and significance of the second ODI, England Women will be feeling very secure following their victory over South Africa by six wickets. Among their outstanding hitting exploits were the English hitters' easy chase of the total, which was ultimately completed by Wyatt Hodge and Amy Jone. On Wednesday, December 11, the two teams will travel to Potchefstroom to play the series finale.
