Defending champions, the 2023–2025 World Test Championship (WTC) final between Australia and South Africa will take place at Lord's historic stadium from June 11 to 15. South Africa, which finished third in the previous cycle, will be making its maiden appearance in the summit showdown, despite Australia defeating India by 209 runs in the 2021–2023 WTC final at The Oval. South Africa is placed third in the ICC Test rankings, whereas Australia is ranked first as well.
On Wednesday, June 11, Pat Cummins and company will enter the WTC final as the favourites at the storied Lord's Cricket Ground. They defeated India at the Kennington Oval in London two years ago, making them the reigning champs. Australia won the first two Ashes Test matches in England to start their WTC 2023–2025 season in a spectacular way. But the Three Lions recovered well, winning three of the previous three Test matches and tying the series. Australia did, however, keep the desired urn.
