Guyana Amazon Warriors Women and Trinbago Knight Riders Women will square off in the Women's Caribbean Premier League 2025's opening game on Saturday at Providence Stadium in Guyana, which is sure to be an exciting match. Both teams are keen to create an impression early in the brief but competitive tournament format as this match kicks off the fourth edition of the WCPL.
Guyana placed last in the WCPL points standings the previous season. They lost three games and were only able to win one. Trinbago Knight Riders finished second with two victories and an equal number of losses from four games; however, they were unable to advance to the finals. In Tarouba, Trinidad, they played the Barbados Royals Women in the championship match. The Royals, led by Hayley Matthews, used just 15 overs to chase down the meagre 94-run total and won the low-scoring final by four wickets.

Providence Stadium Pitch Report:
The pitch at Providence Stadium is predicted to be slow and low, favouring bowlers. Because of the features of the venue, teams should focus on getting off to a solid start on the power play because it may get harder to score as the innings go on. With the toss possibly having a significant impact on the result, this tactical component gives the competition an additional level of complexity.
