At the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, where the series opener was played, Zimbabwe and New Zealand will play their second Test match. Matt Henry's match total of nine wickets (9/90) set the pace for the visiting team, as the Kiwis won the opening game by nine wickets. In the second innings, standby captain Mitchell Santner contributed with a four-wicket haul (4/27 in 17.1 overs). Ben Lister and Zakary Foulkes have been added to the Kiwis' lineup in place of Will O'Rourke and Nathan Smith, who were sidelined with back injuries and abdominal strains, respectively.
After serving a three-and-a-half-year ban, Brendon Taylor rejoined Zimbabwe's side for the second Test. The International Cricket Council had suspended him for violating the anti-corruption code. Following their failure to reach the 200-run barrier in the first game, where they were bowled out for 149 and 165, respectively, Sean Williams and company would want to battle harder.

Queens Sports Club Pitch Report:
The ball slides more on the bowling wicket at Queens Sports Club, which has varying bounce. As the ball ages, it will adhere more to the surface and become more difficult to bat. We may witness another bowler-dominant match here as the dry wicket will extract more from the pitch.
