Zubeen Garg, a well-known Assamese and Bollywood musician, passed away unexpectedly, and tributes have been coming in from all directions. Indian cricketer Riyan Parag is among those impacted; he sent a heartfelt tweet lamenting the passing of the iconic musician.
The well-known Assamese singer Zubeen Garg passed away in a Singaporean scuba diving accident. He was fifty-two. In a heartfelt video greeting, cricket player Riyan Parag referred to Garg as "Dabangg Mama" and praised his contributions to Assamese music. When Garg's remains landed in Guwahati, thousands of people came to pay their respects.

Garg reportedly wore a life jacket at first but quickly took it off due to discomfort. He was discovered floating in the sea a short while after. Doctors tried to save him right away and took him to Singapore General Hospital, but they were unable. His sudden passing has left a huge hole in the music business, especially in Assam, where he was revered as a cultural figure. When his mortal remains arrived, thousands of admirers flocked to Guwahati to offer their final condolences. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also offered their sympathies and acknowledged Garg's contribution to Indian music.
As a cultural figure in Assam, Garg's death had a profound impact. His 2006 hit song "Ya Ali" from Gangster gave Assamese music widespread exposure. As supporters gathered at Guwahati airport to accept Garg's body, police had to manage the masses. When Garg passed away, Assam came to a complete halt. Police had to step in as the enormous gathering grew, as thousands of fans flocked to Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport to pick up his body.
