In order to motivate the next cricket players, Indian ODI skipper Rohit Sharma recently took a break from his preparations for the Australia series. He spoke with the nation's Under-19 players during his Saturday visit to the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. The goal of the workshop was to give young cricket players insightful knowledge about the mentality and self-control needed to compete at the top level of the game. Rohit gave advice that went beyond technical expertise by sharing insights from his storied career.

Rohit is currently only interested in ODIs, where he has amassed over 11,000 runs and 32 hundreds, after retiring from Tests and T20Is. Rohit has been training hard at the CoE since the three-match ODI series against Australia started on October 19. In the meantime, India's U19 team just had a great home series against England, drawing the Test matches and winning the ODIs 3-2.

Rohit Sharma shared valuable experiences and life lessons with the U19 boys at BCCI CoE."  The U19 squad, who had just had a brilliant home series against England, winning the five-match ODI series 3-2 and drawing the two-match Test series, found Rohit's visit especially inspiring. Rohit's attendance at the CoE was a source of motivation and education for these young athletes.
