In a thrilling conclusion to the DP World ILT20 2025, the Dubai Capitals defeated the Desert Vipers by four wickets in Sunday's final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Capitals overcame the heartbreak of the previous season to capture their first title. The Desert Vipers received USD 300,000 in cash, while the Dubai Capitals won USD 700,000.
Dubai Capitals turned things around after a bad start, winning six of their last seven games. Most significantly, they have beaten the Vipers three times in the tournament: twice in the league stage and once in Qualifier 1. They have also dominated every other team. They will bring that assurance to the summit conflict. On the night of the finals, they will be greatly aided by the return of star hitter David Warner.

Sikandar Raza, who was chasing 189, gave the team the much-needed late charge with a scorching 12-ball 34 to win the final over. Shai Hope's calm 43 and Rovman Powell's 63 earlier set the stage for the Capitals' victorious chase. Max Holden's 76-run innings helped the Vipers overcome the early wicket losses before Sam Curran seized over with an undefeated half-century that featured three sixes and five fours. With a 27-run cameo in the final overs that was full of boundaries, Azam Khan also rose to the occasion.

Rovman Powell and Shai Hope stitched together a game-winning 80-run partnership when things got tough. Powell pounded 63 off just 38 balls, including three sixes and seven fours, while Hope struck 43 from 39 balls. Before Nathan Sowter removed him in the 18th over, he had the Capitals in a winning position. Shanaka's 21 off 10 balls and Sikandar Raza's vital 34* off 12 balls helped the Capitals win by 4 wickets with 4 balls remaining. The Dubai Capitals were declared the ILT20 2025 season's winners as a result.
