As they look to respond in the multi-format match against India, Australia has shifted their focus to the 50-over format. Retiring skipper Alyssa Healy is expected to be the main change for Tuesday's opening ODI in Brisbane. The hosts will likely change their starting lineup for the 50-over matches after losing the T20I leg 2-1. Healy, who will take Georgia Voll's place at the top of the order, is anticipated to team up with usual starter Phoebe Litchfield. While Grace Harris has not been named in the ODI team, leg-spinner Alana King is also expected to make her series debut, replacing fellow wrist-spinner Georgia Wareham.
Healy's retirement tour will kick off a two-week farewell that includes three ODIs and a last Test at the WACA the following month. The 35-year-old has a world-record 275 dismissals in all forms and has been Australia's first-choice wicketkeeper since 2014. She has only played as a fielder for New South Wales in the WNCL since the conclusion of the WBBL, though, and has not held a wicket. Throughout the ODI series, she is still anticipated to start batting.

Mooney has kept very well in her absence of late.

Though the move seems to have been accelerated to this home summer, Mooney had long been considered Australia's next long-term wicketkeeping option. It is increasingly thought that she was able to earn the position on her own merits because of the substantial improvement in her glovework over the previous year. After playing as Australia's wicketkeeper 28 times, mostly when Healy was unavailable, Mooney was promoted.
While selectors considered additional options, Australia trained at Allan Border Field on an optional basis. Despite a weak ODI World Cup effort earlier in the cycle, vice captain Tahlia McGrath, who was left out of the T20Is, is still being considered. Another choice to strengthen the starting lineup is Nicola Carey, who was brought back after a three-year hiatus. During the one-dayers and the Test, Sophie Molineux, who will take over as captain across formats after the series, will act as deputy.
