Due to a foot injury, New Zealand opener Finn Allen will not be participating in the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 playoffs or the forthcoming T20I tri-series in Zimbabwe. A setback for both his team and the national team resulted from the batter's injury, which occurred when he was playing for the San Francisco Unicorns.

MI New York and San Francisco Unicorns will compete in the Eliminator; the victor will move on to Qualifier 2. It was a devastating blow to the San Francisco Unicorns just before the playoffs started. Finn Allen, the Unicorns' second-highest run scorer this season, will miss the remaining games because of a foot ailment. When Finn Allen was last seen, he was out of the game against the Los Angeles Knight Riders, where his team was chasing a huge 244-run target.

Fin Allen's Future in MLC 2025 Playoffs:

Allen had a successful start to his MLC 2025 campaign. He hit 151 off just 51 balls in the Oakland Coliseum's first game versus the Washington Freedom. The knock had 19 sixes, breaking the mark held by Chris Gayle for the most sixes in a T20 innings. Additionally, he achieved the fastest-ever 150 in men's T20 history in just 49 balls. Finn Allen, who played for the Unicorns, scored 333 runs in nine games, including a game-breaking 151 against the Washington Freedom. He will not play in the forthcoming tri-series that New Zealand will play in Zimbabwe due to his injury.

Allen will not play for the San Francisco Unicorns versus MI New York in the Eliminator. Interestingly, the franchise has yet to announce a replacement. Additionally, they are without Romario Shepherd, an all-rounder for the West Indies, who has gone home to play for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the Global Super League. Due to his injury, Allen will not be playing for his country in the forthcoming Zimbabwe series. South Africa, the hosts, and the BlackCaps will play in the tri-series in Zimbabwe.
