India Women defeated England Women by a margin of six wickets in the fourth Twenty20 International of the current five-match series. They gained an insurmountable lead as a result, rendering the last game between the two teams meaningless. In terms of women's cricket, it was also a pivotal point in Indian cricket history. They had lost all five of their prior series against England, and this was the first time they had won a T20I bilateral series of more than two games.
India now has an unbeatable 3-1 lead in the five-match series after this victory; the final match is set for Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Birmingham. In a single Twenty20 International match held in Derby in 2006, India defeated England. The 'Women in Blue' have since lost all of their home and away women's Twenty20 International series matches against England.

On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, India won handily thanks in large part to spin. Radha Yadav (2/15), Shree Charani (2/30), and Deepti Sharma (1/29) took five wickets between them, limiting the hosts to a respectable 126 for 7. After that, openers Shafali Verma (32) and Smriti Mandhana (31) pursued brilliantly, putting on a 56-run partnership that set the stage for victory. With eighteen balls remaining, the guests overtook the target, completing an unforgettable evening.
With the ICC Women's T20 World Cup set to take place here next year, the win gives India a much-needed lift as they adjust to English conditions. On Saturday, July 12, the series' fifth game will take place at Edgbaston. Before going on to the ODI portion, the hosts would want to end the 20-over series strongly. The start date of the 50-over series is set for Wednesday, June 16.
