The Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has prohibited Indian bowler Yash Dayal from playing in the UP T20 League. Dayal played for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 2025 Indian Premier League. Dayal, who helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) win the IPL 2025 championship earlier this year, would not play for the Gorakhpur Lions squad, who paid Rs 7 lakh to recruit him, according to a story published in Dainik Jagran on August 9.
According to the report, the UPCA made this judgment following the filing of a case against Dayal at the Jaipur Sanganer Sadar Police Station. This followed allegations that the 27-year-old had raped a young girl in July of this year. This was Dayal's second significant charge; a FIR had been filed against him after a woman from Ghaziabad accused him of sexual exploitation under false pretences of marriage.
RCB Pacer Yash Dayal in Trouble:
The board does not want Dayal to play in the T20 league because of a complaint that has been filed against him, according to a UPCA source. The franchise has been told not to include him by the board. However, in the case involving the rape of a young girl, the Rajasthan High Court refused to stop Dayal's arrest on August 6. Since the girl in question is a juvenile, the 27-year-old will not be shielded from arrest. What happens next in the unbelievable case is still up in the air.

In 43 IPL games while playing for the Gujarat Titans and RCB, Dayal has dismissed 41 batters. Under Hardik Pandya's guidance, he helped GT win the 2022 Indian Premier League, taking 11 wickets in nine games. In 2023, KKR batsman Rinku Singh blasted him for five sixes in the final five deliveries of the game.
In the 2024 edition of the world's most lucrative franchise cricket league, he joined RCB at the IPL 2024 auction and took 15 wickets for them. Dayal was retained by RCB prior to the IPL 2025 mega auction, and during the current IPL season, he was responsible for 13 batter dismissals in 15 games.
