According to reports, the November 19 wedding of Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj has been postponed. Earlier this month, the pair got engaged in a lavish ceremony in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, which was attended by many well-known people. Actress Jaya Bachchan, Indian bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and former UP Chief Minister and SP president Akhilesh Yadav were among the notable attendees. Additionally, the pair posted several photos from the ceremony to their social media accounts.
Rinku's busy schedule in the upcoming months has caused the ceremony to be rescheduled till February 2026, according to numerous media reports. Amar Ujala and Dainik Jagran have reported that the wedding was originally scheduled for November 18, 2025, at the Taj Hotel in Varanasi. However, both families have decided to reschedule the wedding due to the southpaw's schedule with the national team, particularly during the home season.
Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj's Wedding Postponed?
The couple has not made an official announcement, but the new tentative date is set for February 2026. Between October 19 and November 8, Rinku is anticipated to play in three ODIs and five T20Is during India's white-ball tour to Australia. The Men in Blue will then have demanding home assignments in December. Although there has been no confirmation as of yet, there are rumours that the wedding venue may move from Varanasi to a different destination. According to reports, the families' wish to host a party that close friends and extended family can freely attend, in addition to Rinku's cricket calendar, had a role in the choice.
Regarding Rinku, a well-known player in Indian cricket who participated in the just-finished Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). After winning the Machhlishahr seat in the general elections of 2024 on a Samajwadi Party ticket, Priya Saroj is a first-time member of parliament.
