Jofra Archer, an England international, is now on the Indian Premier League's mega-auction list. The express pacer, who would be the 576th player in the auction and is most likely to make it to the accelerated auction, was not on the first list that the BCCI made public. Although Archer's base price has not been revealed by the IPL council, the Barbados-born cricketer is most likely to place in the INR 2 crore range considering his skill and experience.
Archer's selection is unexpected because the first shortlist that was distributed to franchises earlier this month did not include his name. On Thursday, though, the IPL formally notified the clubs of his inclusion. Archer, 29, will now be available for bid on the opening day of the auction and will be in the fast bowlers' category (Set 6).

In addition to Archer, two Mumbai natives, Hardik Tamore and Saurabh Netravalkar, have been added to the auction list. Their respective registration numbers will be 576 and 577. When Netravalkar first came to notice, he had an incredible T20 World Cup 2024. The USA international went on to take 15 wickets and end as the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2024 top wicket-taker. He is a former India U-19 player who subsequently relocated to the USA, and has made an impression on the international scene with his performances, which included a memorable showing against Pakistan in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.Â
In contrast, Hardik Tamore, 27, is a member of Mumbai's domestic cricket team. In his ten T20 appearances, he has amassed 65 runs with a strike rate of 101.56. Deepak Hooda, an all-around player, has been named and placed on the suspect bowling list. The 29-year-old Rajasthani player has 89 dismissals in domestic cricket and nine international wickets. According to Cricbuzz, KC Cariappa (381, CAM) and Saurabh Dubey (344, VCA) have also been placed on the suspect list. However, bowling bans have been imposed on Manish Pandey (KSCA, 157) and Shrijith Krishnan (KSCA, 281).Â
