Prior to the fourth edition of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20, which will take place behind closed doors from August 11 to 27, top state cricketers Karun Nair, Prasidh Krishna, and Mayank Agarwal were among the players retained. After Royal Challengers Bengaluru announced a celebration parade to celebrate their first IPL triumph on June 4, 11 people died in a stampede; hence, spectators would not be permitted in the stands for this round.
Six teams will compete in the main event: the Mysore Warriors, the reigning champions, the Bengaluru Blasters, the Hubli Tigers, the Gulbarga Mystics, the Shivamogga Lions, and the Mangaluru Dragons. The captain of the defending champion Mysore Warriors, Karun Nair, who finished first with 560 runs the previous season, will once again be relied upon to spearhead the attack.

A solid core of Warriors is completed by veteran all-rounder Karthik CA and Indian pacer Prasidh. The Bengaluru Blasters, the runners-up from the previous season, will keep relying on opener Agarwal's experience. After his stellar 349-run campaign last year, which featured an undefeated century, the Hubli Tigers will turn to wicketkeeper KL Shrijith, who played for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2025, to supply firepower at the top.
Except for two required selections from their respective catchment regions, each side must assemble their squads with a minimum of 16 players and a maximum of 18 players for the player auction on July 15. Modern sub-air technology will assist in minimising any match time lost because of the monsoon season, as all games will be held at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.
