Australia and Pakistan are playing their inaugural Twenty20 International at the Gabba in Brisbane. The visitors won the toss and asked Australia to bat first in a contest that was cut short due to rain. Pakistan eliminated both openers in the first three overs, demonstrating that the choice was a brilliant one. Since the game had been cut down to seven overs and the batters were only trying to hit the ball over the fence, Australia was unaffected by the wickets.
Rain forced the first Twenty20 International match between Pakistan and Gabba to be shortened to seven overs per side, as Glenn Maxwell played havoc. From the first ball he encountered, Maxwell wasted little time in getting to work. The crowd was taken aback by the flashy batter's six against Shaheen Afridi, but he began with a reverse sweep against Naseem Shah in the second over.
Notably, Maxwell batted after one over with Australia at 16/1. Glenn Maxwell hit a four to start the inning. When he hit a switch over the keeper's head for a boundary on the fourth ball of the second over, he hogged the internet. Maxwell lost his arms as a result of a free hit.

Matthew Short and Jake Fraser-McGurk, Australia's openers, were unable to leave an impression. Following the game's shortening, Australia needed someone to step up, and Maxwell achieved just that with a commanding 43 runs off 19 deliveries. Before Abbas Afridi beat him, he smashed three maximums and five boundaries.
Marcus Stoinis, an all-rounder, made a significant appearance as well, scoring 21 runs off of seven deliveries. Australia scored 93 runs in the first innings thanks to their powerful batting. In contrast, Pakistan's bowlers appeared unsure when facing Maxwell and Stoinis. Maxwell's wicket came a bit too late, but they were still able to take wickets at regular intervals. Shaheen gave up 25 runs in two overs, while young Naseem ended up leaking 37.
Australia has scored 93 runs after seven overs as of the time this story was written. Additionally, Maxwell scored 43 (19), which included three sixes and five fours, making him the best batter. Abbas Afridi bowled a brilliant bouncer to dismiss the former RCB batsman who was on his way to a fifty.
