On Monday, February 24, Taskin Ahmed, a 29-year-old fast bowler for the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, rattled the stumps of Will Young, a 32-year-old top-order batsman for the New Zealand National Cricket Team. Bangladeshi bowler Taskin Ahmed erupted in a wild celebration at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium after taking the wicket against New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match.

The fuller delivery, which began from the fourth stump line, went through the space between bat and pad and struck timber, leaving Young with nothing to do but watch the ball smash onto the stumps. Following the dismissal, Taskin spun away in celebration, clearly hyped up.

Taskin Ahmed Takes a Big Big Wicket:

Ahmed was under a lot of pressure to give Bangladesh a strong start because they were only defending a meagre 236 runs. In the opening over of the innings, the pacer was breathing fire, and he did just that. He concluded his outstanding over by rattling Young's stumps on the final ball after trouncing the in-form hitter with his swing and velocity.

The ball nipped in off the surface after Taskin Ahmed's length pitch on the fourth stump. The ball slipped between the bat and pad as the Kiwi hitter drove, rattling his stumps. For a 6-ball duck, he was out. The elite pacer Taskin Ahmed went crazy after taking his first wicket, howling like a tiger and celebrating madly.

Kane Williamson, a former Black Caps captain, took Young's place. He nicked a 148.8 kph Nahid Rana delivery to wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim, ending his own brief spell in the middle. Williamson attempted a drive but failed, and the ball took the edge, quickly putting New Zealand behind two.

In the powerplay of the Champions Trophy match against India, the Indian openers hammered the Bangladeshi bowlers who were defending the score. Next, Taskin Ahmed got rid of Rohit Sharma for 41, and Rishad Hossain got rid of Axar Patel and Virat Kohli. But Gill's undefeated 101 helped India easily finish the chase, as Bangladesh found it difficult to restrain him. Additionally, KL Rahul, who was dropped by Jaker Ali but contributed to India's victory, provided Gill with strong assistance.
