In 2026, England and Wales will host the ICC Women's T20 World Cup for the tenth time. Before that, Nepal had been confirmed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as the host country for the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier. Ten teams will compete for four berths at the main event in 2026 during the tournament, which will take place from January 12 to February 16.
For the four spots available in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 in England and Wales, ten teams will battle over 21 days at two sites in Mulpani, Kathmandu. The 21-day event will be held at Lower Mulpani Cricket Stadium and Upper Mulpani Cricket Stadium.

Ireland and Bangladesh have already been confirmed for the qualifier, having earned automatic entry through their involvement in the Women's T20 World Cup in 2024, which New Zealand won in Dubai. Regional qualifiers determine the remaining eight teams, which include one team from each of the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Africa, as well as two teams each from Asia, Europe, and Africa.
Recently, Rwanda and Sierra Leone advanced to Division 1 of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Africa qualifier. Eight teams—Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe—will bid for two berths in the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier in Namibia beginning on August 31, 2025. Two teams from Europe will advance to the global qualifier when Germany, Scotland, Italy, and the Netherlands play each other in Rotterdam.
From June 12 to July 5, England and Wales will host the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026. 33 games will be contested over 24 days at seven different locations, including Bristol County Ground, Hampshire Bowl (Southampton), Headingley (Leeds), and Old Trafford Cricket Ground (Manchester). Twelve teams will compete for the coveted prize in the recently enlarged competition. In the 2026 edition of the biannual event, the White Ferns will try to defend their championship, while India and Australia will enter the game as favourites.
