According to ANI, a star-studded opening ceremony combining pop, classical, and percussion-driven performances will be enjoyed by stadium supporters and millions of viewers around the world before the opening game.

The organisers said on Friday that the opening ceremony will feature renowned drummer Sivamani, rapper Badshah, actor and performer Nora Fatehi, and neo-classical sitar exponent Rishab Rikhiram Sharma. Along with 20 children from each participating nation, ICC Chairman Jay Shah and former India captain Rohit Sharma, who led the reigning champions to victory at the previous edition in 2024, will officially announce the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 opening as they accept the tournament trophy.

Badshah said in an official statement that he was excited to be a part of an event that so massively combines entertainment and athletics. He said he was excited to bring his signature enthusiasm to the opening night and compared cricket and music as tremendous unifiers.

Fans will be treated to the biggest singing and dancing showcases when the trophy arrives. Chart-topping artist Badshah will present a thrilling live performance, followed by Nora Fatehi, who will be accompanied by a sizable dance troupe, in a dynamic dance spectacular.
