Rashid Khan, the spin sensation from Afghanistan, made a spectacular comeback to competitive cricket on Tuesday, making T20 history. On Tuesday, the leg-spinner became the first bowler to reach 650 wickets in Twenty20 cricket. In The Hundred 2025, Rashid made his debut for the Oval Invincibles and accomplished this achievement.

Rashid accomplished the feat on Tuesday, August 5's lopsided match between London Spirit and Oval Invincibles at London's famed Lord's Cricket Ground. London Spirit, captained by Kane Williamson, chose to bat first after winning the toss. Before Rashid started working his magic, Jordan Clark and Jason Behrendorff had the batting side at 26/3 after making early progress with the new ball.

Rashid Khan at Hundred Men's 2025:

At Lord's on Tuesday, the star leggie tangled with the London Spirit bats. With a three-wicket haul, Rashid made an impression, dismissing Liam Dawson, Ryan Higgins, and Wayne Madsen. He became the greatest wicket-taker in T20 history, returning figures of 3 for 11 in just 20 balls. By overtaking West Indies great Dwayne Bravo for the most wickets in T20 cricket, he undoubtedly increased the mark he achieved during the SA20 earlier this year. With three wickets of his own, Sam Curran provided strong assistance for Rashid's exploits. Ashton Turner top-scored with a 21 off 14 balls as London Spirit were bowled out for 80 in 94 balls.

In response, Will Jacks and Tawanda Muyeye added a 34-run partnership off 32 balls to give the Invincibles a calm start. However, after both openers had respectable starts, Dawson fired them. Before captain Sam Billings and Donovan Ferreira led them home with six wickets and 31 balls remaining, Curran contributed with a 14 from nine balls. On Saturday, August 9, London Spirit will play their first game back in Cardiff against Welsh Fire. Conversely, Oval Invincibles and Manchester Originals will play on the same day.
