All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja of India shot to a career-high 25th place in the ICC Men's Test Batting Rankings after an outstanding performance in the first game of their ICC World Test Championship series against the West Indies in Ahmedabad. The 36-year-old's previous high, which he attained in July of this year after scoring 104 not out in India's lone innings, was 29th place. He currently has 644 rating points, which is a career high.

Jadeja rose to a career-high 25th place among all-rounders thanks to his performance in the series opener against the West Indies in Ahmedabad. Siraj, meanwhile, rose three spots to a career-high 12th in the bowlers' standings. In the first Test, India defeated the West Indies by 140 runs and an innings.

ICC Men’s Test Rankings Revealed:

K.L. Rahul and Dhruv Jurel are two such Indian players who have improved in the batting ranks after scoring hundreds. Following his first Test century, Jurel has risen 20 spots to 65th place, while Rahul has risen four spots to 35th. After collecting two cheap wickets in the match, left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav moved up seven spots to 21st place. However, the West Indies players had little cause for celebration since no bowler claimed more than two wickets and no batter reached a half-century.

There were also some noteworthy changes to the ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings. Mitchell Marsh, the captain of Australia, made his first appearance in the top 10 among batters since February 2024. In the three Twenty20 Internationals against New Zealand, he smashed 85, 9*, and 103*. Rashid Khan, the captain of Afghanistan, finished strongly against Bangladesh and moved back up to second place among T20I bowlers.

Afghanistan's Noor Ahmad (up eight spots to 17th) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (up six spots to 23rd) also advance in the bowling rankings, while Bangladesh's Tanzim Hasan Sakib (up nine spots to 33rd), Shoriful Islam (up 21 spots to joint-49th), and Player of the Series Nasum Ahmed (up from 131st to 44th) all make progress.
