Jitesh Sharma, the star batsman and wicketkeeper for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), will play in the first-ever Vidarbha Pro T20 League. This follows his outstanding IPL 2025 campaign, in which he amassed 261 runs at a strike rate of 176.35 and an average of 37.28 across 15 games. His genius was essential in helping RCB win their first championship. From June 5–15, Jitesh will captain the NECO Master Blaster squad at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
In the 15 IPL 2025 games that he played in, Jitesh amassed 261 runs at an average of 37.28 and had an incredible strike rate of 176.35. In the forthcoming T20 tournament, which will take place at Nagpur's Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium (VCA) from June 5 to June 15, he will now captain the NECO Master Blaster. On June 6, Jitesh, one of the competition's main attractions, will kick off his campaign against the Bharat Rangers.
RCB Player Jitesh Sharma's New Venture:
On June 6, Jitesh will play his maiden game in the Vidarbha Pro T20 League against Bharat Rangers. In addition to Master Blasters and Rangers, there are five more teams competing in the tournament: Orange Tigers, Nagpur Heroz, Nagpur Titans, and Pragariya Strikers. Strikers under Yash Kadam will play Titans under Vidarbha's 2024–25 Ranji Trophy-winning captain Akshay Wadkar in the first match.
The Nagpur Heroz, Nagpur Titans, Orange Tigers, and Pragariya Strikers are the four other teams in the franchise league besides the Master Blasters and Rangers. Beginning at 2:45 pm, the Strikers and Titans will play their first game. Yash Kadam will lead the Strikers, while Akshay Wadkar, the captain of Vidarbha who won the Ranji Trophy in 2024–25, will lead the Titans.
The Vidarbha Pro T20 League will feature several well-known players, but it will also be lacking some well-known names. Karun Nair and Harsh Dubey, the two most well-known figures in the Vidarbha system, will not participate in the franchise competition because they are now serving their country in England. Harsh Dubey is playing for the India A team, while Nair has been selected for the five-match Test series against the "Three Lions." Dubey made a useful cameo of 32 and claimed one wicket during the inaugural unofficial Test match between India A and the England Lions, in which Nair produced an amazing double hundred.
