Sanju Samson Reflects on His Iconic Century Against BAN in Hyderabad

Sanju Samson, the star wicket-keeper-batter, helped Team India win the series 3-0 with his outstanding century in the third Twenty20 International against Bangladesh. at the last game played at Hyderabad, India scored a record-breaking 297/6.  As a result, the host team achieved their best score in Twenty20 Internationals, mainly because of Samson's outstanding 111 off just 47 balls. Samson's skill has been clear for years, but he hasn't been able to maintain his level of performance on the global stage. This pivotal inning demonstrated his maturity and composure under duress. 

Samson remarked, "I'm overjoyed that my teammates think positively of me. During the presenting ceremony. Knowing what you can do out there can get frustrating, and I have also felt I can do much better."

Sanju Samson also disclosed that he is one of the most seasoned players on Team India and that he knows how to handle pressure from his extensive gaming experience. He added that he wished to demonstrate to the public his ability to perform at the greatest level. The batter from Kerala also discussed the impact of skipper Suryakumar Yadav and head coach Gautam Gambhir, as well as their leadership style, which centres on forging an altruistic team culture that has produced positive outcomes.

He went on to say, "However, because I've failed a lot, I know how to handle pressure and my failures from playing so many games. The process was all that was important, and you knew you would succeed. There was pressure to play for your nation, but I still wanted to perform and demonstrate. However, I remained straightforward and aimed to conquer it one ball at a time."

Sanju Samson further added, "The leadership assures me that they will always have my back, not just verbally but also through deeds. Last series, I got two ducks and went back to Kerala thinking what would happen, but I'm here."

The Player of the Series winner, Hardik Pandya, had similar opinions on team dynamics and management. Pandya acknowledged that he was able to play his game because of Yadav and Gambhir. He said, "The group as a whole benefits greatly from the level of freedom the coach and captain have granted. Ultimately, you may achieve your best potential in sports if you can take pleasure in it."
