At the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, May 11, Smriti Mandhana scored her eleventh century in the Tri-Nation ODI Series 2025 final versus Sri Lanka Women, continuing her ascent in ODI cricket. With a quick 116-run knock off 101 deliveries, Smriti moved up to third place in the women's cricket all-time record for ODI tons. In addition, she became just the second Indian woman, after former captain Mithali Raj, to make an ODI century in Sri Lanka.

With a score of 337/9 against South Africa on May 7, India broke the record for the highest total on Sri Lankan soil. England holds the previous record for the greatest ODI score versus Sri Lanka. England's score in Hambantota in 2019 was 331/7. After an innings that featured two sixes and fifteen fours, Smriti was removed on the fifth ball of the 33rd over. She gave the India Women a fantastic platform on which to continue their successful run. After choosing to bat first, her team ultimately posted 342/7 in their allocated quota. The only player from the Indian lineup to score more than fifty runs was Smriti.

Against Sri Lanka, Smriti Mandhana became the fourth Indian batswoman to reach an ODI century. The first person to accomplish the milestone was Mithali Raj (125 not out) in 2018. Thirush Kamini did it in Colombo against Ireland in 2017 (113 not out). Jemimah Rodrigues scored 123 against South Africa a few days prior.

Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain, had previously won the toss and chosen to bat first. She made one adjustment by giving pacer Kranti Goud his debut cap. Mandhana and Pratika Rawal opened with a partnership of 70 runs. Before being bowled out by Dewmi Vihanga in the 33rd over, Mandhana smashed 15 fours and two sixes. Despite having strong starts, Harleen Deol (47), Harmanpreet (41) and Rodrigues (44) failed to reach their respective half-centuries. India then reached 342/7 thanks to cameos from Amanjot Kaur and Deepti Sharma. Batting at number eight, Deepti went undefeated for 20 runs off of 14 balls.

Malki Madara was the most costly bowler for Sri Lanka, taking two wickets for 74 runs in her allotted ten overs. Additionally, Vihanga and Sugandika Kumari each took two wickets.
