Virat Kohli's tirade against the Australian reporter who was filming him with his wife and children has gone viral. The sports legend is still being attacked by a Channel 7 reporter who calls him a bully for his actions toward the female reporter who was filming him at the airport when he arrived in Melbourne. The incident occurred Thursday after Kohli, his wife Anushka Sharma, and their kids arrived in Melbourne for the fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.
Notably, Virat Kohli had warned Indian photographers not to take images of his daughter and son. The rule does not, however, apply in Australia, where there are no limitations on the filming and photography of celebrities. As a result, the 36-year-old was unhappy when an Australian journalist from Channel 7 recorded a video of the Indian cricket player with his family after he had landed in Melbourne.
Australian Media vs Virat Kohli:
Even though the situation did not get worse, Tony Jones, a sports reporter for Nine, was unforgiving of Kohli in his harsh criticism, calling the India No. 4 a "bully" and berating him for "berating" the Channel 7 reporter at the Melbourne airport. The fourth Border-Gavaskar Test has begun, and the Indian squad has landed in Melbourne. Even though the Boxing Day Test is still scheduled, it appears that some drama has already happened.
Hindustan Times quotes Jones, "Nat was out there with a cameraman, a Channel 7 reporter was out there with his cameraman and they were doing what we do on a daily basis essentially, and that’s at the airport to actually get identities, whether they’re politicians, whether they’re sporting identities or whatever. What really got my back up when I saw the footage was that he turned around to the three blokes, the two cameramen and the reporter from Channel 7, and said you guys are OK, it’s her. Really? Big tough man, Virat and then he stood over this girl, Nat Yoannidis, who’s about five foot one, five foot two, and just absolutely berated her. You’re nothing but a bully, Virat."
