On January 17, during Match 39 of the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 2025-26 between Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars at the Optus Stadium, Pakistan international Haris Rauf and top-order batsman Finn Allen were involved in an unforeseen on-field altercation. With 3/23 in four overs and 69 off 39, respectively, Rauf and Allen ended up being standout players for their respective teams.

Fans were astonished and amused by Haris Rauf's powerful poke of Finn Allen as he passed the wicket on his way back, which was captured on camera. At first, the action appeared hostile. In the 39th game of the BBL 2025–26 season, Haris Rauf was bowling while defending the Melbourne Stars' total of 130 runs. Together with Mitchell Marsh, Finn Allen opened the innings for the Perth Scorchers, and the two were effectively focusing on and destroying the Melbourne Stars' bowling attack.

BBL 2025-26 Viral Moment:

Finn Allen, who scored 69 runs off 39 balls throughout the match, got into what seemed to be a heated argument during one of Rauf's overs, but it quickly transformed into a strange practical joke. After winning the game by a margin of six wickets, the Scorchers climbed to the top of the standings. It appeared that the Ashton Turner-led team would struggle after three wickets were taken during the powerplay. But Allen's powerful hit, which included seven sixes and two fours, made sure the Scorchers didn't ruin the chase.

In an anchoring knock, Aaron Hardie scored a vital 41 off 37. Rauf's three wickets were insufficient. In a spell that was characterised by extraordinary speed and control, he bowled a total of 13 dot balls. Mitchell Marsh, Cooper Connolly, and Josh Inglis were all removed by the Pakistan international, giving the Stars the lead in the game.

Jhye Richardson's 4/16 in 3.2 overs earned him the title of Player of the Match. During the Stars' inning, the pacer was also successful in grabbing three catches. Marcus Stoinis (55 off 39) was the only player who could score significantly.
