In the opening three days of the current first Test against Bangladesh, Team India performed admirably. With 376 runs in the first innings, India restricted the visiting team to a pitiful 149 runs. Once again, the hosts performed admirably with the bat overall when they went out to bat in the second innings.

Notably, openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored five and ten runs, respectively, in the second innings, despite India's top order failing to contribute significantly. In addition, Virat Kohli was removed after just 17 runs. But before India made their declaration, they had amassed 287 runs in the second innings thanks to the hits of Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant. The fans were drawn to something entirely different despite the numerous performances throughout the innings.

Rishabh Pant's heartwarming gesture goes viral:

Prominent Indian batsman Rishabh Pant gained widespread attention after he was seen saying a prayer on his bat and leaving. The identical video has been going viral on social media.

Bangladesh's experience in the Test match has been somewhat unpredictable. The visitors backed themselves going into the series, having just defeated Pakistan in their own backyard. They seemed to be in good form early on, reducing India to 144/6.

But Bangladesh's performance declined as soon as Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin established a strong alliance in the closing moments of the opening day. The visitors did not perform well at the bat either, giving up 376 runs in the opening innings.

Maintaining their lead, Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja seemed to be in fine form as they dismissed Bangladesh for a mere 149 runs. In addition, the hosts responded with 287 runs in the second innings, setting a goal of 515 runs for the visitors to achieve.
